Don't Forget To Check In Every Tuesday!

After the defendant is released from county jail, they will need to come into our office to have an orientation and to complete their documents and contracts. They will be asked to provide references and information. This process usually takes about 20 minutes

Weekly Check in

From release until the case is resolved the defendant will check in weekly on Tuesday.

We have a simple check in system which requires only one text from the defendant weekly  The defendant will text 512-985-2245, sending their name and date of birth in a single text.

We will respond with a text when the message is read by our staff. This system is not automated, so response texts can take several hours or until the following day.

Tips For A Successful Court Experience

If you appear in court dressed too casually (shorts, tank tops, etc.) you can be turned away and marked as a “no show”.

Arrive promptly and sign in. If the sign in sheet has already been picked up, identify yourself to the bailiff to avoid being missed and counted as failing to appear
Respond clearly during roll call.

Work with your attorney in a calm and respectful manner.

Do not leave the courtroom until you have been dismissed by your attorney or judge.
If you don’t have an attorney, request one. You will not be penalized if you show up to court without an attorney, but you will not be able to progress your case that day.
